St Michael’s ward Conservatives held their last branch meeting of 2006 this evening and acknowledged a year of success (6 December). Committee members were joined by councillors Ray Sams and Matthew Scott at their regular meeting at the home of ward members in Brampton Road.
Mark Brooks, ward Chairman said “We have had great success in St Michael’s by getting Joe, Ray and Matthew elected this year, and getting rid of the former Labour MP last year. We now look forward to taking on Labour Mayor Ken Livingstone”.
Cllr Matthew Scott thanked ward members for all their hard work during 2006 on behalf of the councillors. He said “St Michael’s now has councillors that are listening to people’s views and a council doing good work. We will continue to work hard for the residents of St Michael’s in 2007 and address the issues that affect them. We work for residents’ interests, not self-interest”.
