Bexley’s Conservative Council have been informed that the Oral Hearing for the Application to bring a Judicial Review of the Secretary of State’s Decision against the Belvedere Incinerator will be heard on 22 February.
Council Leader Ian Clement has welcomed the date and is looking forward to a full airing of the arguments against the plans.
Cllr Clement said “I am delighted that the hearing date has now been set. We are fully prepared to put our case against this monstrosity to a Judicial Review and hope that the High Court will be able to see that we have just and valid reasons for doing so”.
He added “The decision to take this matter forward was not taken lightly. We feel that for the good of generations of Bexley residents to come we must do our utmost to stop the incinerator.”
